प्रतिकूलतेशी लढणाऱ्या प्रज्ञावंतांना मदतीचा हात!

येथील विद्यादान सहाय्यक मंडळाचा द्वितीय वर्धापनदिन नुकताच शहापूर येथील ग.प. खाडे विद्यालयात अत्यंत हृद्य वातावरणात पार पडला. प्रतिकूल परिस्थितीतही जिद्दीने शिकणाऱ्या प्रज्ञावंत मुलांना मदतीचा हात देण्याचे कार्य विद्यादान सहाय्यक मंडळ करीत आहे.
यावेळी संस्थेचे संस्थापक भाऊ नानिवडेकर यांनी सुरुवातीला गेल्या वर्षांच्या कार्याचा आढावा मोजक्या शब्दात सांगितला. त्यानंतर ते म्हणाले की, संस्थेचे चार विद्यार्थी समता विचार प्रसारक संस्थेच्या आय.पी.एच.मध्ये आयोजिलेल्या व्यक्तिमत्त्व विकास शिबिरात सहभागी झाले, तर १४ मुले हेमलकसाच्या श्रमछावणीत सामील झाले. त्यामुळे हे विद्यार्थी बाहेरच्या जगात कसं वागावं हे तर शिकेलच, शिवाय त्यांना समाजकार्याचीही ओळख झाली.
या विद्यार्थ्यांपैकी गणेश शिर्के, राहुल भालके व चेतना लाटे यांनी आपले मनोगत व्यक्त केले, तसेच संस्थेचा आश्रय मिळालेल्या मुलांच्या पालकांनीही आपली कृतज्ञता भिजल्या स्वरात कथन केली. यावेळी धारावीत राहून पीएचडी झालेल्या डॉ. शीतल शंकर डाफळे यांची संस्थेच्या कार्यकर्त्यां गीता शहा यांनी मुलाखत घेतली. डॉ. शीतल यांच्या प्रांजळ आत्मकथनाने सर्वाचीच मने हेलावली. या गप्पांमध्ये डॉ. शीतल यांचे आईवडील व लहान भाऊ हे कुटुंबीयही सहभागी झाले होते. कार्यक्रमाला विद्यार्थी व पालकांसमवेत ठाणे परिसरातील मंडळाचे अनेक हितचिंतक व देणगीदार आवर्जून उपस्थित होते. तीन तास चाललेल्या हा हृद्य सोहळा सभागृहातील प्रत्येकाला अंतर्मुख करून गेला. याप्रसंगी गुणवान विद्यार्थ्यांचा उपस्थित मान्यवरांच्या हस्ते सत्कार करण्यात आला.

Communication Workshop in Shahapur for students of VSM, Thane

On 27th July,2010 VSM,Thane arranged an communication workshop in Shahapur for the benefit of students of VSM, Thane.

Following Karyakarats were present.
Chaitali Desai , Suyog Marathe, Omkar Gogate, Ashwini Joglekar

18 students participated this workshop.

2 Role Plays - 4 different Situation (class room situation was given where students give different types of feedback to the teacher. To sensitize students to different types of feedback during communication viz verbal, non-verbal, positive and negative.
3 Telephonic conversation: 4 situation were given; enquiring about college admissions, informing about absence in a workshop, calling fire brigade in case of fire and calling a doctor incase of medical emergence To highlight how the situation (time available, seriousness, etc), purpose and the position/ relationship with the person you are communicating with influence the process of communication.
4 Talking Stick. Group discussion - topics - Plastic boon or curse; Love marriage vs. Arranged marriage Importance of listening
5 Cat and Mouse Intra team communication, leading team to complete task
6 Fold paper and cut Draw backs of one-way communication
7 Chinese Whispers Highlight how message corrupts as the number of members in the communication chain increases.

Career Guidance in SHAHAPUR

On 9th May, 2010, Vidyadan Sahayyak Mandal, Thane arranged Career Guidance seminar for students from Shahapur at G.V.Khade Vidyalaya, Shahapur. This seminar was conducted by Shri. Narendra D Apte & Shri. Vikas L Shinde .

Distribution of old cycles to students from Shahapur, Thane

Giving below in brief about this programme.

On 3rd Jan. 2010, ( Savitribai Phule Jayanti ) Shri. Subhash Harad arranged a function of Distribution of cycles ( old but in working condition ) collected by Vidyadan Sahayyak Mandal, Thane to needy students from Shahapur Taluka @ Shah Chandulal Sarupchand Vidyalaya, Kinhavali, Tal. Shahapur, Dist. Thane.

We have distributed 30 cycles .

I would like to inform you that , Mr. Anand Nandi of Hare Krishna Cycle Mart, Vikas Palms has helped a lot in collecting cycles from Hyde Park and Tarangan and getting them repaired in shortest possible period. He took cost of accessories / spare parts which were replaced by him and gave concession in the labour charges. This is the biggest benefit of an appeal in print media.

Our NGO, will be issuing Certificate of Appreciation to all Housing Socieites and individuals, who has donated cycles.

I would like to inform you that all these cycles donated by donors were old, but duly repaired and in good working condition.

This repair was done by donors at their own cost .
